These terms cover your use of reftek.us and the referee scheduling application hosted there, both operated by Reftek, LLC. By creating an account you agree to them.
What the service does
Reftek is how we publish games, how referees see what is available, and how assignments are recorded. An account lets a referee keep their own details, connect with an assignor, see the games they are qualified for, claim them, and see what they have been assigned.
Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it current. Assignments, and payment for them, depend on it.
- Your account is yours. Do not share your password or let someone else use it.
- If you are under 18, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you before you create an account.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.
Claiming and working games
Claiming a game is a commitment to work it. Games can be dropped through the site up until the window your assignor sets, after which you need to speak to them directly. Repeatedly failing to appear for games you have claimed is grounds for us to deactivate your account.
Your assignor may add or remove you from a game, cancel a game, or change its details. We will tell you when that affects a game you hold.
Pay
Game rates shown in the app are what your assignor has recorded for that division and position. They are informational. Reftek does not process payments; you are paid by your assignor through their own payroll, and their records govern in any disagreement.
Text messages
Text messages are optional and go only to referees who have chosen to receive them. You make that choice on your profile and can change it there at any time.
Message frequency varies with how many games are scheduled. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them, or HELP for help. Stopping texts does not affect your account or your assignments; we will reach you by email instead.
Mobile numbers are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing. See our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to harass anyone, to gain access to accounts or information that are not yours, to disrupt the site, or to break the law. Do not use contact details you obtain through Reftek for anything other than officiating business.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and accurate, but we provide it as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. Where something goes wrong at our end, our responsibility is limited to putting it right; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending your use
You can deactivate your account at any time from your dashboard, which removes you from scheduling while keeping your history. We may suspend or deactivate an account that breaks these terms. Records of past assignments are retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. Where a change is material we will update the date above and tell you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri.
